“A company you can trust in your home”

Published · Updated · by Dryer Vent Cleaning For You

What the job actually costs around Denver, which factors move the number, and the two quoting tactics worth walking away from.

Pricing in this trade is less transparent than it should be, largely because a handful of operators advertise a low headline figure and then rebuild it on your doorstep. Here is what the work genuinely costs around the south Denver metro, and what legitimately changes the number.

Typical price ranges

For standard residential work in Highlands Ranch, Littleton, Lone Tree and the surrounding towns:

  • Standard dryer vent cleaning — around $100 to $150 for a single dryer on a run under 15 feet
  • Long or complex runs — from roughly $150 where the run exceeds 15 feet or has multiple elbows
  • Roof-terminated vents — from about $150 to $200, reflecting ladder and roof access
  • Additional dryer at the same address — usually discounted, in the $70 to $90 range
  • Bird nest or blockage removal — from around $130, including cleaning the duct behind the blockage
  • Whole-home air duct cleaning — from roughly $300 for up to ten vents

Our own figures sit inside those ranges and are published in full on the pricing page, because a price you have to phone for is a price that can change depending on who is asking.

What legitimately changes the price

  1. Duct length and elbows. More run means more brushing time and more resistance. This is the main variable.
  2. Termination point. A roof vent needs ladder work, fall precautions and a second set of hands. A side-wall hood at head height does not.
  3. Access to the dryer. Stacked units and closet installations take longer to disconnect and reseat safely.
  4. Condition of the duct. If the inspection finds crushed, disconnected or vinyl ducting, that is repair work — separate from the cleaning, and it should be quoted separately.
  5. Number of units. Multiple dryers at one address should always cost less per unit than separate visits.

Two things worth walking away from

The $49 special. Nobody drives to your house, disconnects a dryer, brushes a full run, cleans the hood and cleans up afterwards for $49. That number exists to get a technician through the door, at which point the job becomes $300 for reasons that were never mentioned on the phone.

The unexplained upsell. Repairs are sometimes genuinely necessary — we quote them regularly. But you should be shown the problem, on camera or with your own eyes, before being asked to pay for the fix. “It needs a new duct” without evidence is not a quote, it is a request.

A fair quote has three parts: what it costs, what changes that figure, and what happens if we find something unexpected. Get all three before anyone starts.

Is it worth the money?

Set the fire risk aside for a moment and treat it purely as economics. A restricted vent adds time to every load. Across a year of regular laundry that is a measurable amount of electricity or gas, plus additional wear on a machine that costs several hundred to over a thousand dollars to replace. Annual cleaning is one of the few pieces of home maintenance that comes close to paying for itself — and then the safety benefit is on top of that.

How much does dryer vent cleaning cost in Denver?

Standard residential cleaning generally runs $100–$150 in the Denver metro, with longer runs and roof terminations costing more. Our standard price is $109 with the full list published on our pricing page.

Why do some companies advertise $49 dryer vent cleaning?

It is a lead price rather than a job price. The realistic cost of a full service — travel, disconnection, brushing the whole run, hood service and clean-up — is well above that figure.

How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?

For most households, once a year. If you have a large family, pets that shed, or a duct run longer than about 15 feet, plan on every six months. Homes where the dryer vents through the roof also tend to need more frequent service.

What are the signs that my dryer vent is clogged?

Clothes still damp at the end of a normal cycle, drying that needs two or three cycles, a dryer that is hot to the touch, a burning or musty smell, a laundry room that gets hot and humid, lint gathering around the outside vent hood, or a vent flap that no longer opens when the dryer runs.
