Dryer Vent Cleaning in Littleton, CO

“A company you can trust in your home”

Local dryer vent cleaning and repair in Littleton

Littleton has been on our route since the beginning, and it is easily the most varied town we work in. Downtown and Old Littleton have brick homes from the 1890s through the 1950s where the laundry started life in the basement. Columbine, Southbridge and the Ken Caryl side are mostly 1960s–1980s. Then there are the newer infills. Three completely different venting problems in one zip code.

In the older housing stock the recurring issue is a duct that was added long after the house was built — often routed the long way around through a basement joist bay, sometimes still in the original vinyl. In the 1970s and 80s subdivisions it is more often a vent hood at the rim joist whose damper rusted shut a decade ago.

Ten to fifteen minutes from our office — one of our two original service areas.

Local Conditions

What we typically find in Littleton

Pre-1960 homes near downtown Littleton

Basement laundry with a long horizontal run to the rim joist. Frequently still vinyl or thin foil duct that should be replaced with metal.

Columbine and Southbridge

1970s–80s builds where the exterior hood is usually the failure point — stuck dampers and lint packed at the termination.

Ken Caryl side of Littleton

Foothills homes with crawlspace routing. Blockages hide well down there and need a camera to find.

Condos and patio homes off Bowles

Shared terminations and short but sharply elbowed runs. Cleaning both directions matters here.

Good Questions

Littleton Questions

Clean air vent after a duct cleaning service
Our Littleton house is from the 1950s — is the duct up to code?

Often not. Homes from that era frequently have vinyl or thin foil duct added later. We inspect first and quote a metal replacement only if it is actually needed.

Can you clean a dryer vent that runs through a finished basement ceiling?

Yes. We clean from the dryer connection and the exterior termination, and only open an access point if the camera shows a break in the run.

Do you serve Ken Caryl and the western side of Littleton?

Yes, including the foothills addresses with long crawlspace runs.

How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?

For most households, once a year. If you have a large family, pets that shed, or a duct run longer than about 15 feet, plan on every six months. Homes where the dryer vents through the roof also tend to need more frequent service.

What are the signs that my dryer vent is clogged?

Clothes still damp at the end of a normal cycle, drying that needs two or three cycles, a dryer that is hot to the touch, a burning or musty smell, a laundry room that gets hot and humid, lint gathering around the outside vent hood, or a vent flap that no longer opens when the dryer runs.

Why does a clogged dryer vent matter?

Two reasons. Safety first: the U.S. Fire Administration attributes roughly 2,900 residential dryer fires a year, and failure to clean the vent is the leading cause. Second, cost: a restricted vent forces the dryer to run longer on every load, which raises your energy bill and shortens the life of the machine.
