3Project Overview
The architectural slot diffusers in this open-plan home looked grey rather than white, and the egg-crate returns had a felt of dust across every cell. These profiles are almost impossible to clean in place without pushing debris into the room. We removed each diffuser and return face, cleaned them individually, and cleaned the boot and accessible duct behind each opening before refitting.
Challenges
- Narrow slot profiles that trap dust and resist surface cleaning
- Painted diffuser faces that mark easily
- High ceilings requiring ladder access above furniture
What we did
- Every diffuser and return face removed and cleaned off the ceiling
- Boots and accessible duct vacuumed while openings were exposed
- Furniture covered and floors protected under every access point
- Faces refitted level and re-checked for airflow noise
