7Project Overview
A distribution warehouse had visible dust fallout on stored goods and staff complaints about air quality. The exhaust ducting and wall louvers ran fifteen to twenty feet above the floor across the length of the building. Working evenings around the facility's shift schedule, we cleaned the louvers, grilles and accessible duct sections from a scissor lift, capturing debris rather than dropping it onto the racking below.
Challenges
- All work at height over live racking and inventory
- Facility could not shut down — evening access windows only
- Years of accumulated dust bonded to louver blades
- Debris containment above stored product
What we did
- Scissor lift access with spotter and floor protection under each work zone
- Two evening shifts scheduled around the facility's operating hours
- Brush and HEPA vacuum on every louver blade, followed by a wipe-down
- Photo documentation of each zone before and after for the facility manager
